Show Kids back in the saddle

Show Kids back in the saddle

At the end of March, ten Glen Valley competitors attended a schooling show at Sublime Saddlebreds starting off the horse show season. Thank you Sublime for hosting the show. It is a great experience for the new riders in a show ring atmosphere and for the more experienced rider an excellent way to identify things to work on. Teamwork, improving the skill, learning from mistakes, and striking the right balance of confidence are a portion of the benefits gained.

Glen Valley Farm was proud of every show student. It is exciting to see the potential of this year’s team of show kids.

Alexis – It was her first-time riding in a horse show. You handled yourself and Sweetness well, excellent job! She achieved a 4th, 5th, and 6th place ribbons.

Alyssa – It was her first-time riding Breeze in a show, impressive! She achieved 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishes.

Brianna – captured 1st, 2nd and 4th place ribbons. Brianna makes riding in a show look easy.

Eva – had a great ride on Brissa ending up with two 2nd place ribbons.

MaKenna – won her pattern class on Keno finishing other classes another 1st and 3rd place ribbons.

McKenna – It was her first-time riding with the Glen Valley team and we look forward to a great season with you. She achieved two 2nd place finishes and a 3rd.

Sam – It was her first-time riding in suit on Rain with two very respectable 2nd place ribbons.

Sequoia – faced some extra challenges riding Keno in a particular class, yet handled it like a pro, taking home a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place ribbons.

Sofia – won all 3 classes, way to go Sofia!

Sydney – It was her first-time riding Wonder and 2nd time riding in a show taking a 3rd in her pattern class along with a 4th and 5th place ribbons. It was Wonder’s first-time away from the home barn.
